Updating my review - I came back and got the pomegranate matcha and pistachio croissant and both were lifechanging. The lemon croissant was too much but the pistachio was perfectly balanced. The space is still quite tight and busy, definitely not a spot to work at all, but if you can get a table it's quite cozy. The quality of their drinks is worth it! I'll be back.

Came to Soloway with my friends to catch up. It was a bit busy when we got there and noticed a table just waiting for us. We ordered a matcha latte, chai and latte as well as their pistachio croissant - which it was very moist and delicious. People were coming and going with their coffee and sweets. Nice place!

Soloway is a beautiful cafe that offers a wide selection of pastries, sandwiches, coffee and teas. Their sandwiches were what drew me in, but be mindful that the presentation and recipe changed per season. Come early to beat the crowd as most seating are full during busy hours. Love this space--they are clean and modern! The baristas here are very friendly and helpful with answering menu questions. I try to stop whenever in Lincoln Park.

Okay Soloway is amazing & cozy & brilliant. Here is my round up: * Seats are limited, so go early if you plan to enjoy breakfast there. * The coffee and tea selection is great! * Service is so friendly! * Skip the Syrnyky unless you have had it before and know you're into it. The texture was so off putting. * DO try the Shakshuka or the Avocado Toast! Enjoy :)

I've been eyeing Soloway Coffee for a while - I happened to be in the neighborhood and in need of an afternoon snack, so I popped in for a quick bite. There wasn't much left mid-afternoon, but I was lucky enough to snag their special pumpkin-shaped pumpkin bread. It was small, but adorable and delicious, and packed with extra goodies like pumpkin seeds for texture. Despite being made with care, I still felt like it was overpriced (hence 4 stars vs 5). They have a great patio, but it was full when I arrived late on a weekend afternoon. Tables were available inside, but the noise level was pretty high. Props here for the service, though. The friendly woman who took my order gave me very helpful recommendations as I was deciding what to order. I might be back, but the price point gives me a bit of pause in light of other high quality cafes and bakeries in the area.

I really enjoyed their passionfruit matcha drink. It's definitely a combo you don't typically see, but it does work well. It tasted sweet from the matcha milk but then you get a nice tartness from the passionfruit. I heard their croissants are really good but unfortunately they sold out early. We opted for their basque cheesecake and it was expensive ($9) for a tiny slice. It was yummy but you've probably had better basque cheesecake elsewhere. Their cheesecake could've definitely been softer + have a stronger cream cheese flavor. In terms of service, they were very efficient. The line was long but we didn't wait long at all.

Dream about the croissants here. My fav is the almond or pistachio. Latte is decent here too. Def the food is best for me. Lines can get super long on the weekends so keep that in mind. Very little seating indoors and tables are electronic / laptop free.

Soloway is a quick walk from Theatre on the Lake which is where I was working out in the morning. They have some limited but decent options for coffee. We really wanted to try the pistachio croissant because I had heard that it was really good, but they only serve that post 8:45am or so, and hence we couldn't try them!! We tried the pistachio macaroon and that was yum!! Although there was a long line to get coffee, the service was quick!

I chose this place because it was very close to my spa appointment and I have some time to spare before my spa day. Right when I walked in, you could smell the amazing aromas of the coffee and espresso in here. I ordered a flavored latte and an amazing pastry that I still dream about to this day. The coffee was delicious and the cinnamon sugar croissant was delectable. Great coffee spot!
